Mvalo Proud Despite Cup Exit

Speaking after his side's exit in the Nedbank Cup, Thanda Royal Zulu Assistant coach, Asanda Mvalo, says they did their best against Mamelodi Sundowns.

The National First Division side were sent crashing out of the cup, after losing 2-0 to The Brazilians on Saturday evening, however Mvalo was happy to see his side create chances against a side of Sundowns' caliber.

"We came here, we had nothing to lose but something to gain, it was a good exercise for the boys, they did their best, but you know we played against a big team," Mvalo said after the game.

"I'm happy if my team is creating the goals, that means one day if we bury those chances then we are going somewhere, I would be very worried if played this big game and we did not creating anything.

"The aim is to gain promotion, I'm so happy with the way the boys are playing, we still are in the race."
