Golden Arrows say they are the underdogs going into their upcoming match against Kaizer Chiefs at the weekend.
Abafana Bes’thende will be hosted by Amakhosi in their Nedbank Cup Last 32 match at FNB Stadium on Sunday.
While Clinton Larsen believes that his team can do well in this year’s Nedbank Cup, the coach feels that the KwaZulu-Natal side are underdogs against the Soweto giants.
“I believe we are going into the Cup as underdogs, and the Nedbank Cup is a competition that can be won by underdogs. That’s what makes it an exciting competition to play.
“We are a strong unit of players, and the Cup gives us reprieve from the PSL and allows us to shift focus to the Cup. The stage couldn’t be better to have some of the Diski players showcase themselves, and we are excited to see them prove themselves,” said Larsen as quoted on Arrows’ official website.
The last time Arrows and Chiefs played they drew 0-0 in their first round Absa Premiership match at FNB Stadium in September.
