Kaizer Chiefs 0-1 Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates bagged the bragging rights in the Soweto derby after a late 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs in a MultiChoice Diski Challenge clash at the Dobsonville Stadium.

Both sides missed chances throughout the match and as the clash seemed headed for a draw, Simiso Bophela headed home the winner in the final ten minutes.

Mamelodi Sundowns 6-3 SuperSport United

Mamelodi Sundowns remained on top of the table following a 6-3 thumping of SuperSport United in a thrilling Tshwane derby.

Sbusiso Maziko had United ahead four minutes gone, but Musa Mdhluli levelled a minute later before Khanyisile Mayo netted a third for United on 16 minutes.

Cassius Mailula levelled on 29 minutes, leaving Mdhluli to put his side in front for the first time on 58 minutes, with Promise Mkhuma netting their fourth two minutes later.

Thulebona Vezi replied for Matsatsantsa on 79 minutes but Mdhluli restored their advantage from the spot three minutes to full-time before Phineos Mphuthi finished the contest with a sixth later on.

Maritzburg United 0-1 Bloemfontein Celtic

Maritzburg United reserves slow start to the campaign raged after succumbing to a narrow 1-0 defeat at home to Bloemfontein Celtic reserves.

Siwelele survived all the pressure for much of the match before Seabelo Tsoene netted the winner with eight minutes remaining.

Highlands Park 1-4 Bidvest Wits

Bidvest Wits strengthened their grip on second spot following a 4-1 victory over Highlands Park at the Makhulong Stadium.

Highlands took an early lead on through Ntholeng Kulwano from the spot after eight minutes. But Keenan Phillips, a brace from Mcaba Athenkosi and late strike from Molahlehi Khunyedi sealed the win for the Clever Boys.

Baroka FC 3-2 Polokwane City

Baroka FC reserves followed up their first team’s Limpopo derby win last week with a 3-2 triumph over Polokwane City reserves at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The victory is Bakgaga’s fifth of the campaign and climb up to ninth following strikes from Eddy Jele, Thuso Mogale and Evidence Makgopa.

AmaZulu 4-1 Golden Arrows

AmaZulu reserves put Golden Arrows reserves to the sword in emphatic fashion with the former marching to a 4-1 triumph at the Dobsonville Stadium.

Lungisani Sem, Boiki Modisakeng Ndabezinhle Khoza Sanele Gaxa managed to net for Usuthu, while Ndabezinhle Khoza bagged a consolation for Arrows.
