Rampant Pirates Bounce Back, Chiefs Drop Points

Marumo Gallants 0-4 Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates bounced back to winning ways in the DStv Diski Challenge after thrashing Marumo Gallants 4-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Nkosinathi Temba broke the deadlock for Pirates just after the half-hour mark and it took up until 20 minutes before time for the visitors to double their lead thanks to Thabiso Monyane.

Boitumelo Radiopane put the game to bed for the Soweto giants in the last minute, shortly followed by Mpumelelo Ndaba, who completed the rout.

Kaizer Chiefs 2-2 Golden Arrows

Wandile Duba rescued a point for Kaizer Chiefs in their four-goal thriller against Golden Arrows on Saturday morning at Dobsonville Stadium.

Donay Jansen gave Chiefs the lead in the 12th minute but Jaylen Trent equalised for Arrows six minutes later.

Sabelo Duma put Abafana Bes'thende ahead six minutes into the second stanza but Duba levelled matters for Vela Khumalo's charges four minutes thereafter.

Sekhukhune United 0-0 Mamelodi Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns were denied back-to-back wins after being held to a goalless draw by Sekhukhune United on Saturday afternoon at Makhulong Stadium.

The Brazilians could not seize the momentum after edging a five-goal thriller against Orlando Pirates the last time out while Sekhukhune's winless run stretched to seven matches.

Stellenbosch 4-1 Swallows

Stellenbosch remain at the top of the log by one point after thrashing Swallows 4-1 on Saturday morning at Malta Park Sports Ground.

Stellies had a perfect start thanks to an early own goal conceded by the Birds before Jared van der Burg doubled their lead with ten minutes left of the first stanza.

Merwin Boji and Shaun Morgan got the other two goals in the second stanza for the rampant hosts, amid a late consolation goal by Swallows.

TS Galaxy 1-2 SuperSport United

SuperSport United remained in the title race with their seventh consecutive win after edging TS Galaxy 2-1 on Sunday morning at Tsakane Stadium.

Tendamudzimu Matodzi and Lyema Dopolo gave Matsatsantsa a two-goal lead before half-time.

Koketso Modise pulled a goal back for the Rockets in the second stanza but SuperSport held on to keep their title hopes alive.
