Chiefs fell out of the top eight for the first time since 2006/07, with a defeat on the final day seeing Bloemfontein Celtic sneak into the running for next season’s tournament following their win over AmaZulu.
They will face reigning Absa Premiership champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, while runners-up, Orlando Pirates, will be pitted against Owen da Gama’s Highlands Park.
Elsewhere, Bidvest Wits finished third – securing their spot in next year’s CAF Confederation Cup – and will be going up against SuperSport United, with the final game seeing Cape Town City go into battle with Polokwane City after their finished fourth and fifth.
The quarter-finals will get underway early in the 2019/20 season, although dates are yet to be confirmed, with all of the involved clubs looking to get their hands on some early silverware to get the campaign off to a good start.
Who do you think will progress into the semi-finals?
