Komphela Warns Of Ajax’s Full Of Running & Energy
Kaizer Chiefs will this afternoon take to the field at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium with the quest of defending their MTN8 trophy against a youthful Ajax Cape Town side.
Coach Steve Komphela is aware of the dangers that the Urban Warriors' young players can cause mainly because of their full of running and energy.
Komphela told the Siya crew that they have to close them down to avoid them running at them and at the same time catch them on the counter.
"You know when you play against a team like Ajax who are full of running there is only one way to stop them and that is to close them down. But you don't just close them down you also have to attack them. For us we have to make sure we don't just use our wings but also use the centre to break them down.
“I know it won't be easy because they have a great coach in Roger de Sa who knows the game very well and he knows us as well. It will be an entertaining game but we know they are full of running and we have worked on that. At the end of the day the most important thing is to go out there and defend the trophy so that tomorrow the Amakhosi family can be celebrating," the former Bafana Bafana captain explained.
