Ajax Cape Town and Kaizer Chiefs have had an almost identical run to the MTN8 final, winning two and drawing one each as they marched on to Port Elizabeth this weekend.
The two clubs lock horns at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium at 15h00 on Saturday afternoon, with the Amakhosi looking to defend their title and the Urban Warriors eager to better the silver medal they picked up in last season’s Nedbank Cup final.
Both Ajax and Chiefs have scored at least one goal in all three of their games towards the final, however Chiefs’ 5-3 thriller with Maritzburg United made sure that they have scored over double the amount of goals (7) than their final opponents (3).
Chiefs’ George Lebese is looking likely to walk home with the golden boot for the tournament have bagged three goals in three games, while all of Ajax’s three goals have been scored by different players.
