A Free State Stars midfielder who injured Kaizer Chiefs’ Joseph Molangoane has apologised.
Molangoane (30), was stretchered off after a nasty collision with Makhehleni Makhaula during the MTN8 quarter-final match between Amakhosi and Ea Lla Koto at the FNB Stadium on the weekend.
Speaking on Stars’ official website, Makhaula has issued an apology to Molangoane for the injury.
“From my bottom of my heart I did not intend to do and cause any harm to him, therefore I wish him a speedy recovery,” Makhaula told Stars’ official website.
Ea Lla Koto have also wished Molangoane a speedy recovery.
“The entire Free State Stars family management, technical team, supporters and more especially Makhehleni would like to wish “Tight”, as Molangoane is affectionately known, a very speedy recovery,” read a statement from the Bethlehem club.
Still, with Molangoane and his injury, it has been confirmed to the Siya crew from the player's camp that the 30-year-old injured his shin and not the ankle as reported elsewhere.
According to the player's camp, the former Chippa United player would be expected to return to training after four months.
