Taariq Fielies picked up a red card booking during City’s 4-1 loss to Kaizer Chiefs at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.

The 26-year-old will be suspended for two of City’s domestic encounters, their clash against Orlando Pirates in the Absa Premiership this week and the crucial MTN8 final against SuperSport United on September 29.
“Maybe a fresh combination after today’s performances is what is needed, some motivation for whoever gets the nod. That’s why I said, we need to change the way we approach (Pirates) because we will have a different pair at the back,” Head Coach Benni McCarthy told the media following their loss against Chiefs on Saturday.
City currently have Fielies, Kouassi Kouadja, Kwanda Mngonyama and Keanu Cupido on their books as centre-backs and it remains to be seen which combination Head Coach McCarthy will use when his side face Pirates and SuperSport in the upcoming fixtures.
