Benni McCarthy has revealed how he will get his side to respond following a heavy defeat to Kaizer Chiefs and drawing to Orlando Pirates thereafter.
Cape Town City will lock horns with SuperSport United at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, September 29 in the final of the MTN8 competition.

City will go into the encounter having learnt a hard lesson following their defeat to Chiefs earlier this month and fighting to secure a point after trailing 2-0 in an Absa Premiership encounter against Pirates.
“I think it is just to change our approach a little bit because we always allowed ourselves to settle in the game before we go and I think using that expression meant that the players take their time to get in to the game instead of when we go in and make our presence fall and we attack teams from the first minute to the last minute. So, maybe saying the right words and saying the right things, that is the only way we can change it because we want to get ourselves into the game first,” McCarthy told the media.
City’s left-back Edmilson Dove also shared his thoughts ahead of the final, “I think there’s no pressure, it’s a final obviously, we want to win it and last season we couldn’t, we did everything, that and penalty shootouts? Anyone can get out of it and this season, we are working hard to see if we can win the final.”
