With the CAF Champions League coming closer and closer to the final, the semi-final draw has been concluded and the teams have been notified. Kaizer Chiefs will face off against Wydad AC after beating Simba 4-3 on aggregate over the course of two legs and Al Ahly will come up against ES Tunis after beating Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0 and drawing the second leg fixture 1-1.
Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns have been the two major talking points all week as the second leg fixtures of the quarterfinals took place on Saturday. Kaizer Chiefs were sitting in the driver's seat, leading 4-0 on aggregate after the first leg, however, Amakhosi were greeted with a scare as Simba managed to win the second leg 3-0. Kaizer Chiefs progressed to the semi-finals on a 4-3 aggregate.
Mamelodi Sundowns, however, failed to overcome a dominant Al Ahly in their respective games, losing 2-0 in the first leg and drawing the second leg 1-1, leaving the two matches with a 3-1 aggregate in favour of Al Ahly.
