Bloemfontein Celtic supporters have taken a stand in light of reports that TS Galaxy owner Tim Sukazi is planning to relocate the team upon purchase.
Speaking to the Soccer Laduma issue 1175 Sukazi confirmed that he has secured an agreement to purchase the club, and only needed to fulfil the conditions of the agreement. He also revealed that should he succeed in his acquisition of the club, he would relocate it to the Mpumalanga province.
Meanwhile prominent Celtic supporter Station Walesele told the Siya crew that they do not mind the club being sold, however, there is no way that it can be relocated.
“The message from us as Celtic supporters are clear; we don’t care who buys the team, as long as the team does not leave Bloemfontein. There is no Celtic without Bloemfontein and there is no Bloemfontein without Celtic.
“We are not against the guy. He’s got the money and the means, He’ll be able to maintain the team and he has the passion. Celtic is made up of the supporters, the people who are behind it. This is not a fly by night team.
“It’s surprising to me because Tim Sukazi has been going around in the media (saying) that he is close to buying the team, but he does not seem to know what Celtic supporters want. I need to ask who is fooling who in this situation,” the supporter said.
