Orlando Pirates assistant coach Rulani Mokwena has opened up about his journey of football, and saying that it has been through suffering and sacrifice.
Mokwena is officially still the assistant coach of Pirates although he has been absent from the team since the arrival of coach Josef Zinnbauer, though it was confirmed by the club that he had been on leave to further his coaching studies.
As reported, Mokwena was recently spotted in a friendly match between Gauteng ABC Motsepe League side Blue Lions and SAB League team Black Poison – the team the coach has been involved with for some time.
Speaking on Twitter, Mokwena lauded the journey he has had in the game, and saying that he has become an important part to society through suffering and sacrifice.
“15 years of suffering and sacrifice! 15 years of prestige and Gods favour! 15 years of excellence and success! 15 years of constant production! In 2005 I didn’t know you’d grow to become such an important part to society. Heres to 15 more years of greatness,” the coach tweeted.
