The Premier Soccer League has announced the player and coach of the month winners for April.
Mamelodi Sundowns forward Peter Shalulile was awarded with the player of the month award after he enjoyed a good run of form in April. He bagged two hat-tricks during the month against Swallows FC and Golden Arrows, showing how deadly he is in front of goal.
Shalulile hit the 20-goal mark in April, becoming the first player since Siyabonga Nomvethe in 2011/12 to achieve this.
Cape Town City coach Eric Tinkler was named coach of the month, following the side's impressive run of the results in April which has seen them on the verge of qualifying for the CAF Champions League. The Citizens were unbeaten in the five matches they played in April, winning three and drawing two.
They registered a big 5-1 win over Baroka FC, beat Maritzburg United 1-0 and edged Kaizer Chiefs 2-1. They held champions Sundowns to a goalless draw in Tshwane and played out to a 1-1 draw with Royal AM.
Kaizer Chiefs attacker Keagan Dolly, meanwhile, won the goal of the month award for his freekick against Chippa United.
All three winners will get R7000 and a trophy.
