It came down to which side was more clinical on the day, Mamelodi Sundowns captain Hlompho Kekana has said regarding their 2-0 loss to Al Ahly in the first leg of their CAF Champions League clash at the weekend.

The Brazilians now have to overturn the deficit at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday afternoon to progress to the last four.
“It was a very technical game between two teams that play very good football. You can see Al Ahly are a big team in Africa with the way they play with the ball around. We managed to contain them, but we conceded two goals I thought we could have done better in our last half,” Kekana, speaking to on beIN Sports, said.
The skipper argued that if Downs had taken their chances the margin would be a lot closer going into the return leg.
“I think it’s a level where you have to take your chances. We couldn’t take them in the first half, where I think we created three chances. We could have at least scored one or two and we gave them the confidence to come back in the second half and that’s where they took their chances. They didn’t create much, but they took their chances and we must learn from this. Hopefully in Pretoria we do better,” said Kekana.
