Reports coming out of the Netherlands have revealed that midfielder Kamohelo Mokotjo could make a sensational return to his former club.
Dutch publication Tubantia, have revealed that the 30-year-old is set to voyage to the Netherlands next week, where he is expected to start training with his former side FC Twente in hopes of landing a contract with the Dutch giants.
The midfielder spent three years with the club between 2014 and 2017 before he signed for Brentford in the English second division and is a familiar face at the club.
"Maybe it will be one hundred percent, and maybe not. We are in no rush because he has no contract. We're going to take a look at it calmly," technical director Jan Streuer told the publication.
According to the publication, whether Mokotjo will return to the club is largely dependent on his fitness levels with the midfielder not restricted by the current transfer window as he is currently a free agent.
“That remains to be seen. Mokotjo is a good player, and we will now see how fit he is,” he added.
Mokotjo parted ways with MLS outfit FC Cincinnati who he joined in 2020. Just last year, the outfit announced that Mokotjo, who had been a special signing by the club, would be amongst the players retained for the 2021/22 season.
The former SuperSport United man made 20 appearances for the club in two seasons.
