Siya sources have indicated that Kaizer Chiefs could look to make enquiries in to the availability of a goalkeeper.
The Soweto side are expected to make adjustments to their squad in the upcoming January transfer window and indications are that the first department they will want to strengthen would be the goalkeeping one.
Both Daniel Akpeyi and Itumeleng Khune will see their current deals expire on June 30, 2020 and while there has been talk about extended deals for the duo, there’s been no official word from the club.
Meanwhile, sources have revealed that Amakhosi are still assessing their options and as reported in issue number 1151 of Soccer Laduma, where Reyaad Pieterse’s name has been thrown in to the mix once again.
The Mamelodi Sundowns shot-stopper has been linked with a move to Chiefs in the past; however, sources have revealed that should Chiefs want to pursue their interest in the 27-year-old, they could look to make an approach for his services as early as the January transfer window.
