Polokwane City will be eager to turn their fortunes around when they host SuperSport United in the Telkom Knockout Cup on Wednesday.
 
Rise and Shine lost their last game 2-1 at Chippa United and have not won in their last five ties. Their only win of the season was on the opening weekend.
 
City were knocked out in the first round of the competition last season when Orlando Pirates beat them 2-1.
 
Meanwhile, SuperSport are also struggling for form so this term, after three consecutive defeats which have seen them drop to 13th in the league standings. 
 
Matsatsantsa, however, do have positive memories from their TKO campaign last season when they claimed the title with a 3-2 win over Platinum Stars in the final. 
 
News from the SuperSport camp is that Thuso Phala asked Gordon Igesund to be relieved of his captain duties before this game, and Dean Furman will lead the team instead.
