PSL Promotion/Relegation Play-Off
Teams: Baroka v Stellenbosch
Date: 10 June 2017
Venue: Peter Mokaba Stadium
Baroka will be hoping to take another step closer to securing their top flight status when they hosts Stellenbosch this afternoon.
Both teams will be gunning for all three points after they played out to a 2-2 in Cape Town almost a fortnight ago.
Bakgaga will come into the game brimming with confidence after their 2-1 victory over Limpopo neighbours Black Leopards in midweek.
Kgoloko Thobejane’s men looked very comfortable in their last game and although Leopards threatened at the death, Baroka manage to hold on.
Stellenbosch FC is yet to taste defeat in the mini league with two draws in as many games. That does not help their charge for promotion however as anything less than three points in this match will all but ensure their ticket back to the National First Division.
With Baroka on four points in two games and Stellenbsoch on two points, a win for Baroka will open up an unassailable five point lead over their opponents, and undoubtedly Sammy Troughton and his charges will be weary of this and will go out for maximum points away from home.
With the stakes as high as they are, the supporters can expect an entertaining match-up between the two teams who are looking to play in the country’s top flight.
Here's how they line up:
Baroka: Masuluke, Mahashe, Kgoetyane, Shaku, Madatsane, Madubanya, Moeti, Masenamela, Letsoalo, Matloga, Kgaswane.
Stellenbosch: Arubi, Lecki, Booysen, Sait, Hadebe, Rowell, Moroole, Mekoa, Mabua, Muishond, Niang.
