Promotion/ Relegation Play-Offs
Teams: Black Leopards v Platinum Stars
Date: 16 May 2018
Venue: Thohoyandou Stadium
The match is scheduled to get underway at 15h00.
The much-talked-about play-offs appear to have been thrown a curve ball following Stars' late entry, a day before the fixture.
Ajax Cape Town were supposed to play Leopards but after they were found guilty of fielding an illegible player, were docked nine points, which saw them relegated to the National First Division, while Dikwena moved up to 15th.
Dikwena have been preparing hard for the fixture after being initially relegated, although they defeated Bidvest Wits in their final Absa Premiership clash of the season.
The path to that start with a tough battle in the Northern part of South Africa, against a side who thrashed Jomo Cosmos in their last 3-0 to seal the second spot on the NFD log.
Lidoda Duvha will know from past experience that an opening win is crucial to secure promotion, and will use all their armoury to get the better of Stars.
Leopards will be no pushovers as they have scored 43 goals in the second division, while Dikwena have only netted 35 goals in the Absa Premiership this term.
