Nedbank Cup
Teams: Phiva Young Stars v Chippa United
Date: 10 February 2018
Venue: Kabokweni Stadium
Third tier side Phiva Young Stars will be out to shock Absa Premiership outfit Chippa United when the two sides lock horns at the Kabokweni Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 15h30.
Stars, who are campaigning in the ABC Motsepe League, are back in the competition after beating Gert Sibande TVET College Skills Academy in the last round of the preliminaries to reach the last 32.
The Mpumalang-based side were last in the competition in the 2014/15 season where they were knocked out by Jomo Cosmos in the last 32 round.
The Chilli Boys, meanwhile, will want to go a step further in the competition this season and reach the final after their run last term was halted by eventual champions SuperSport United in the semi-finals.
Teboho Moloi’s troops will be hoping to continue with their unbeaten run as they have gone five games undefeated in the Premiership following their 3-3 draw with Platinum Stars last weekend.
Chippa also recently bolstered their attack with the additions of Edward Manqele and Luis Jose Misquissone.
