Mamelodi Sundowns get their Nedbank Cup campaign underway with a clash against Thanda Royal Zulu at Loftus Stadium on Saturday evening.

 

The match is scheduled to get underway at 17h30.

 

Pitso Mosimane's side come into the clash on the back of a 1-1 draw in their CAF Champions League qualifier against St. Michel United.

 

Sundowns went all the way to the quarterfinals of this competition last year, before being eliminated by Orlando Pirates.

 

Thanda Royal Zulu, meanwhile, are enjoying a good season in the National First Division and presently third in the standings.

 

Thanda's Nedbank Cup hopes were also dashed by Pirates last season, after losing 3-1 to the Buccaneers on penalties at this stage.
