Date: 17 August 2014
Venue: Bidvest Stadium
Bidvest Wits and Orlando Pirates will both hoping to gain the early advantage when they lock horns in a MTN8 semifinal, first leg match at Bidvest Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 15h00.
The Students booked their place in the last four thanks to a penalty shootout win over Bloemfontein Celtic in the quarterfinals after a goalless 120 minutes of action.
The Buccaneers, on the other hand, beat SuperSport United 2-1 in their MTN8 quarterfinal match thanks to goal from Daine Klate and Kermit Erasmus.

In the 11 cup games, each side has four outright wins and three matches have been drawn (one went to penalties and was won by Wits).

In all, Pirates and Wits have met in 68 league and cup matches since 1985.
The Soweto side has 28 wins compared to 16 for the Clever Boys, while 24 matches have been drawn.
Wits have won just 10 of their 33 home matches against Bucs down the years, suffering 11 defeats in the process.
