Score: New Zealand 0-0 South Africa
Date: 30 May 2014
Venue: MT Smart Stadium
South Africa failed to tuck away their chances as they go into the halftime break with New Zealand with scores level at 0-0 at the MT Start Stadium.
Gordon Igesund's men almost got off the perfect start as Ayanda Patosi played in Tokelo Rantie, although the Bournemouth striker failed to beat the on-rushing Glen Moss.
While Renielwe Letsholonyane came close to giving Bafana a deserved lead, as he rifled one against the crossbar from 20-yards out.
Other than those two efforts, Bafana failed to create any meaningful openings, as the ball in the final third was not up to par.
On the other hand, New Zealand, dominated proceedings in the early stages with some great passing in the final third, although Anele Ngcongca and Buhle Mkhwanazi stood firm for the visitors.
Despite all their good passing, the All Whites failed to test goalkeeper , Ronwen Williams, who has been a spectator for most of the half.
