Nedbank Cup
Score: Mamelodi Sundowns 1-1 Orlando Pirates
Date: 12 April 2014
Venue: Loftus Stadium
Elias Pelembe cancelled out Oupa Manyisa's penalty, as Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates go into the halftime break with the scores level at 1-1 in their Nedbank Cup quarter-final clash.
Sundowns got off to a slow start but gradually grew into the game, as Teko Modise and Bongani Zungu were combining well in the middle of the park, although they were dealt a blow when Khama Billiat was forced off due to injury.
Pirates started the first half on a bright note and were rewarded in the sixth minute, as Oupa Manyisa opened the scoring from the penalty spot, but that was as good as it got for Pirates as far chances created.
It was only a matter of a time before the Brazilians replied and Billiat's replacement, Elias Pelembe, fired one past Senzo Meyiwa to level matters for the host, while Lebohang Mokoena struck the upright minutes later.
