Teams: Cape Town City v Kaizer Chiefs
Date: 16 January 2021
Venue: Cape Town Stadium
Kaizer Chiefs will be searching for back-to-back victories for the first time this season in the DStv Premiership when they visit Cape Town City on Saturday evening at Cape Town Stadium.
The match is scheduled to start at 17h00.
Amakhosi got a welcome relief after winning for the first time in seven matches to ease relegation worries with a 1-0 win over AmaZulu in midweek.
The return of striker Samir Nurkovic, who scored the only goal of that match, has boosted their threat upfront, especially with Khama Billiat out injured.
Chiefs jumped up to tenth on the log with ten points from as many matches and they could grab a top eight spot if they win and Baroka lose to Swallows.
Moving along, the Citizens are without a win in the new year after losing 3-2 to Swallows and drawing 2-2 with Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila last weekend.
However, a strong start to the season has kept City in good stead, as they are in fifth place on the log with 16 points from ten matches.
The Citizens have also bolstered their attack with the signing of Justin Shonga from TTM this week, although he is not in the squad today.
Here's how they line up:
