Starting XI: Buffaloes v CT City

CAF Confederation Cup
Teams: Young Buffaloes v Cape Town City
Date: 10 February 2018
Venue: Somhlolo National Stadium
Cape Town City will make their debut appearance in continental competitions, when they visit Swazi side Young Buffaloes at the Somhlolo National Stadium on Saturday.
The encounter scheduled start at16h00 CAT.
City head into the match off the back of a 1-0 midweek win over Bidvest Wits in the Nedbank Cup. Although this will have lifted spirits, following a demoralising defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns, Benni McCarthy’s side might contain some tired legs.
To make matters worse, the South Africans revealed that they had to change their travel arrangements last minute following confusion regarding the match venue.
Preparation has been far from ideal for the visitors and they will square up against a side, that has impressed in this season’s Swazi Premier League.
However, under the guidance of one of South African football’s most seasoned travellers in coach McCarthy, the Blue and Gold Army will be looking to get off to the best possible start as they begin their quest to turn heads across the continent.
Here's how they line up:
City: 1. Walters, 4. Kobola, 3. Mngonyama, 27. Gumede, 6. Seedat, 16. Johannes, 29. Roberts, 21. Ralani, 24. Masina, 14. Nana, 20. Moseamedi
Subs: 15. Stephens, 5. Edmilson, 2. Mkhize, 12. Fielies, 28. Kewuti, 10. Patosi, 7. Lakay.
