CAF Champions League
Teams: Mamelodi Sundowns v Leones Vegetarianos
Date: 05 December 2018
Venue: Loftus Versfeld Stadium
Mamelodi Sundowns host Equatorial Guinea's Leones Vegetarianos in the second-leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round tie on Wednesday evening at Loftus Versfeld.
The match will begin at 19h30.
The Brazilians will enter the match with their heads held high after securing a 2-0 victory over Leones in the first-leg tie last week thanks to goals from Jeremy Brockie and Themba Zwane.
Pitso Mosimane's charges will be aiming to reach the group stages of the competition again and do better this season after they could not progress further than the pool stages last term.
The Tshwane giants have a considerable experience in this competition having won the coveted trophy in 2016. They are currently unbeaten at home in their last six CAF Champions League games.
On the other hand, Leones are inexperienced in this tournament as this is only their second campaign in the CAF Champions League.
The Equatorial Guinea outfit first featured in CAF club football in 2015 in the Confederations Cup but they could not get past the first round as they were eliminated by Nigerian outfit Dolphins FC.
Their first participation in the CAF Champions League was earlier this year where they were also knocked out in the first round by Gor Mahia of Kenya.
Here's how they line up:
Sundowns: Mweene, Ngcongca, Arendse, Lebusa, Lakay, Manyisa, Kekana, Maboe, Zwane, Sirino, Brockie.
Subs: Pieterse, Coetzee, Silva, Morena, Laffor, Meza.
