Starting XI: Lobi Stars v Sundowns

CAF Champions League
Teams: Lobi Stars and Mamelodi Sundowns
Date: 11 January 2019
Venue: Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium
Mamelodi Sundowns will be eyeing a positive start in the CAF Champions League group stages when they take on Lobi Stars of Nigeria in Group A on Friday evening.
The match is scheduled to start at 18h00.
The Brazilians are not enjoying the best of seasons in the Absa Premiership, but remain the only side yet to suffer a league defeat this season.
Pitso Mosimane’s charges qualified for the lucrative group stages of the tournament after beating Al Ahli Benghazi of Libya 4-0 on aggregate in the play-off round.
Meanwhile, Stars are making only their second appearance in the group stages of the CAF Champions League, in their history. Their debut campaign in the group stages was back in year 2000.
The Ortom Boys almost qualified for the group stage after edging Kenyan giants Gor Mahia on the away goals’ rule following a 3-3 draw on aggregate in the play-off round.
The Nigerian outfit lost 3-1 away in the first-leg against Gor Mahia in mid-December but rallied to win 2-0 in late December on home soil, going through after netting a crucial away goal in Kenya in the first-leg.
Here's how they line up:
Sundowns: Mweene, Coetzee, Lebusa, Nascimento, Kekana, Mabunda, Morena, Lakay, Sirino, Laffor, Maboe.
Subs: Pieterse, Langerman, Madisha, Ngcongca, Manyisa, Mahlambi,  Arendse.
