SuperSport United will be looking to hand Kaizer Chiefs their first defeat in the Absa Premiership when they host the league leaders at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday night.

The match is scheduled to get underway at 19h30.

The side from Tshwane come into this game full of confidence after a 1-0 win over MP Black Aces this past Saturday and will be eager to stop the Chiefs train.

United currently occupy eighth place on the table with 24 points form 18 games which is a staggering 23 points adrift of their Tuesday opponents, but having played a game less.

Chiefs have completely dominated the Absa Premiership and top the standings with 47 points from 19 games, 14 points clear of second placed Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Amakhosi are still unbeaten in the league and will be confident of registering another win over SuperSport considering they beat the Pretoria out 2-0 in their first encounter of the 2014/15 league season.

On that day Mandla Masango and Kingston Nkhatha scored the goals for Chiefs.

An interesting twist on this match is that Nkhatha has since moved to SuperSport and will be looking to get one over his former employers.

Statistically, SuperSport is one of the very few teams to have superior head-to-head record against Chiefs.

In head-to-head stats, SuperSport and Chiefs have met in 48 league matches since 1990. Matsatsantsa have 18 wins compared to 17 for Amakhosi, while 13 matches have been drawn.
