Absa Premiership
Teams: Polokwane City V Moroka Swallows
Date: 6 May 2014
Venue: Peter Mokaba Stadium
Polokwane will be looking to assure their presence in the Absa Premiership next season when they host Moroka Swallows in their penultimate league match of the 2013/14 campaign at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday night.
The match will get underway at 19h30 along with six other league matches that will start simultaneously.
Polokwane currently sit third from bottom, only two points outside of the relegation zone, but a win over Swallows will see them guarantee their spot in the South African top flight next season.
Moreover, Rise and Shine will be confident coming into this game after recording just their second away win of the season by defeating Mpumalanga Black Aces in their last outing.
Swallows, on the other hand, are in poor form and suffered a fourth successive league defeat when they lost 1-0 at home to Mamelodi Sundowns in their last outing.
The Birds are only one place and three points above Polokwane on the table, and a loss to the home side on Tuesday night could see them drop below Rise and Shine.
In head-to-head stats, Polokwane and Swallows have met in just one previous league match.
That encounter took place earlier this season, with the Birds claiming a 2-1 home win thanks to goals from Edward Manqele and Rudi Isaacs.
Here is how they line up
Polokwane City: Modiri Marumo, Lawrence Molekwane, Thapelo Tshilo, Vukile Mngqibisa, Maxwell Molala, Kabelo Lichaba, Sipho Jembula, Jabu Maluleke, Puleng Tlolane, Essau Kanyenda, Thobani Mncwango
Moroka Swallows: Greg Etafia, Rudi Isaacs, Luvhengo Mungomeni, Tshwarelo Bereng, Ashraf Hendricks, Levy Mokgothu, Giorgi Nergadze, Lefa Tsutsulupa, Lerato Chabangu, Siyabonga Nomvethe, Felix Obada.
