The Citizens got their league campaign back on track after back-to-back wins over AmaZulu and Black Leopards.
The two wins have seen Benni McCarthy's team rise up to eighth spot in the league standings.
Rise and Shine's impressive form has taken a bit of a dip after they drew 0-0 with AmaZulu and lost to Orlando Pirates before the international break.
Polokwane find themselves in seventh spot and could rise as high as second with a win this evening.
City claimed the spoils when these clashed in this fixture last season, claiming a 1-0 win thanks to a late strike from Lehlohonolo Majoro, who has since left the club.
