Teams: Platinum Stars v Polokwane City
Date: 07 April 2018
Venue: Royal Bafokeng Stadium
Relegation candidates Platinum Stars will host Polokwane City in an Absa Premiership clash at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Saturday evening.
Dikwena have been rock bottom since the beginning of the season and the appointment of Roger De Sa almost mid-way through the first round of the campaign has done nothing to improve their position.
De Sa’s charges held Baroka to a goalless stalemate on Wednesday night and still have a chance of getting out of the bottom place with five matches left to play.
Stars, who are yet to win a match in 2018, are six points behind second-from-bottom Ajax Cape Town with 18 points from 25 games.
Rise and Shine, meanwhile, resuscitated their campaign after beating struggling SuperSport United 1-0 at home on Wednesday night.
Bernard Molekwa’s troops will now set their sights on getting into the coveted top eight spots as they are only two points behind eighth placed Bidvest Wits.
When the two teams met in the first round of the season, Dikwena won 1-0 in Polokwane thanks to Bonginkosi Ntuli’s solitary strike.
