Teams: Orlando Pirates V Maritzburg United
Date: 15 April 2014
Venue: Orlando Stadium
Orlando Pirates will be looking to climb the league table when they host Maritzburg United in an Absa Premiership match at the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday night.
The match will get underway at 19h30.
The Buccaneers currently occupy seventh place on the league table with 37 points from 24 games, but a win for the Soweto club could see them move as high as fourth provided SuperSport United lose to Ajax Cape Town.
Pirates, though, have had mixed results at home, with seven wins and six losses from 13 matches.
Maritzburg, on the other hand, extended their unbeaten run in the league to three matches with a 1-1 draw away to Polokwane City which sees them up to 12th place with 31 points.
In head-to-head stats, Pirates and Maritzburg have met in 15 league matches since 2005/06.
The Buccaneers have nine wins compared to four for the Team of Choice, while two matches have been drawn.
Pirates have won four of their seven home matches against Maritzburg, suffering just one defeat in the process.
When the teams met earlier this season, Bucs claimed a 1-0 away win over United thanks to a goal from Collins Mbesuma.
Here is how they line up.
Pirates: Senzo Meyiwa, Thabo Matlaba, Happy Jele, Rooi Mahamutsa, Siyabonga Sangweni, Mpho Makola, Khethokwakhe Masuku, Lehlohonolo Masalesa, Oupa Manyisa, Sifiso Myeni, Thamsanqa Gabuza.
Maritzburg: Shu-Aib Walters, Rheece Evans, Mario Booysen, Mohammed Awal, Ruben Cloete, Michael Morton, Ashley Hartog, Thamsanqa Mkhize, Bongolethu Jayiya, Heinrich Isaacks, Orlando Smeekes.
