Absa Premiership
Teams: Maritzburg United V Free State Stars
Date: 28 February 2015
Venue: Harry Gwala Stadium
Maritzburg United and Free State Stars will lay it all on the line in search of victory when they lock horns in an Absa Premiership match at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Saturday night.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 20h15.
After going six matches without a win Maritzburg have dropped to tenth place on the league table with 23 points from 19 games.
Their last league outing was a 1-1 draw against Chippa United, but a win over Stars on Saturday combined with results going their way in other matches could see them move as high as seventh on the table.
Free State have not fared any better and are currently occupying 13th place on the league table with 20 points from 19 games following a 1-1 draw against the University of Pretoria in their last Absa Premiership outing.
In head-to-head stats, Maritzburg and Stars have met in 15 league matches since 2005/06.
Ea Lla Koto have claimed six wins compared to just one for the Team of Choice, while eight matches have been drawn.
When the teams met earlier this season in the Free State, goals from Sekola and Mngomyama saw the match end in a 1-1 draw.
Here is how they line up.
Maritzburg United: Vries, Mabaso, Banda, Paintsil, Vilakazi, Mkhize, Mngonyama, Mandaza, Lentjies, Anas, Zulu.
Free State Stars: Mathole, Cardoso, Sankara, Masehe, Rakoti, Mashego, Masana, Abraw, Venter, Kerspuy, Sekola.
