Absa Premiership Starting XI: Mamelodi Sundowns v Free State Stars 21 February 2018
Teams: Mamelodi Sundowns v Free State Stars
Date: 21 February 2018
Venue: Loftus Versfeld Stadium
Mamelodi Sundowns will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the Absa Premiership when they host Free State Stars this evening.
The Brazilians have not been involved in action since beating National First Division side Cape Town All Stars in the Nedbank Cup last 32 at the start of the month.
Sundowns can move seven points clear of second place Kaizer Chiefs should they secure victory tonight.
The league leaders will be without coach Pitso Mosimane, who is serving a suspension.
Ea Lla Koto, meanwhile, are only six points behind the Tshwane giants in fourth place on 32 points with 10 games left to play.
They could cut that deficit to three points with victory over the Brazilians and ascend into second position on the log.
Luc Eymael’s charges claimed a 2-0 win over Free State Stars in their last league match, while they defeated NFD outfit Super Eagles in the Nedbank Cup last week.
The two sides met in the first round clash back in September, with the Brazilians prevailing 2-1 on that occasion.
Here's how they line up:
Sundowns: 14. Onyango, 4. Langerman, 29. Soumahoro, 27. Morena, 16. Nascimento, 7. Manyisa, 33. Billiat, 13. Mabunda, 26. Sirino, 19. Brockie, 22. Tau.
Subs: 31. Brimah, 11. Vilakazi, 38. Zulu, 32. Madisha, 25. Ngoma, 18. Zwane, 8. Kekana.
