Starting XI: Chiefs v AmaZulu
Absa Premiership Starting XI: Kaizer Chiefs v AmaZulu 17 March 2018
Teams: Kaizer Chiefs v AmaZulu
Date: 17 March 2018
Venue: FNB Stadium
Kaizer Chiefs will want to bounce back to winning ways in the Absa Premiership when they host AmaZulu at the FNB Stadium on Saturday evening.
Amakhosi will be desperate to erase the memory of a 3-1 loss to arch-rivals Orlando Pirates at the same venue two weeks ago.
Steve Komphela’s charges had not been convincing title contenders, despite having held an unbeaten record in the second round of the league before their loss to the Buccaneers, and have since slipped to sixth spot.
However, Chiefs booked their place in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals after beating National First Division side Stellenbosch 2-1 last weekend.
Meanwhile, Usuthu have their own struggles as pressure is beginning to mount for coach Cavin Johnson after his side were dumped out of the Nedbank Cup by NFD side Ubuntu Cape Town in the round of 16 last week.
However, the priority will be the league and the Durban outfit will want to have a better showing against Amakhosi after they lost 3-1 to Mamelodi Sundowns in their last top-flight encounter a fortnight ago.
The KwaZulu-Natal outfit are dangerously lying 13th on the log with 27 points, although four other teams are on the same number of points.
They are only three points above the relegation play-off spot, which is currently occupied by Ajax Cape Town.
Here's how they line up:
