Absa Premiership
Teams: Kaizer Chiefs V Ajax Cape Town
Date: 04 March 2015
Venue: FNB Stadium
Kaizer Chiefs will be looking for their first Absa Premiership win of 2015 when they host Ajax Cape Town in a league match at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday night.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 19h30.
The Amakhosi have not been in the best of form in the league at the start of the year and are yet to match.
Chiefs’ last league outing saw them suffer their first defeat after going down 2-0 to SuperSport United and they will be looking to bounce back against Ajax on Wednesday.
Still, despite their slow start to 2015 the Amakhosi are still seven points clear at the top of the table with 47 points from 20 games.
Ajax are 19 points behind Chiefs in fifth place on the table with 28 points from 20 games.
The Urban Warriors, though, will be coming into this match full of confidence after a 2-0 win over Chippa United in their last league outing.
In head-to-head stats, Chiefs and Ajax have met in 31 league matches since 1999/2000.
The Amakhosi have 13 wins compared to nine for the Urban Warriors, while nine matches have been drawn.
When the teams met earlier this season, a Tefu Mashamaite goal handed the Amakhosi a 1-0 win in Cape Town.
