Teams: Highlands Park v SuperSport United
Date: 08 March 2020
Venue: Makhulong Stadium
SuperSport United will be looking to revive their title chances when they visit Highlands Park in the Absa Premiership on Sunday afternoon at Makhulong Stadium.
Matsatsantsa may have been given a window of opportunity to revive their title challenge after leaders Kaizer Chiefs stumbled to defeat against AmaZulu on Saturday.
United ended a two-game losing run with a 2-0 victory over Bidvest Wits last Saturday and went within 11 points of Chiefs in fifth place.
A win for Kaitano Tembo’s troops could see them leapfrog Orlando Pirates into third place and reduce the gap behind Amakhosi to eight points.
Meanwhile, the Lions of the North are unbeaten in the league in their last four matches and will be confident of causing an upset.
Highlands’ last outing was a 1-1 draw against Golden Arrows last Saturday while Arrows’ draw with Pirates on Saturday saw Owen da Gama's toops drop down to eighth on the log.
SuperSport have beaten Highlands twice already this season, with a 1-0 victory in the MTN8 final in October last year and a 2-0 win in the league at Pretoria.
