Absa Premiership
Teams: Chippa United vs Supersport United
Date: 17 May 2017
Venue: Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium
Chippa United take on Supersport United in a bid to move away from the relegation zone in the Absa Premiership this evening.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 19h30.
The men from the Eastern Cape currently occupy 15th position on the log and have very little time to manoeuvre their way out of the drop zone.
The Chilli boys lost out to fellow relegation candidates Highlands Park in their last encounter after suffering a 1-0 defeat and will be hoping they can collect maximum points off their visitors from Pretoria.
Supersport United were impressive in their last Absa Premiership encounter as they secured a 4-2 win over in-form Cape Town City and despite their coaches imminent departure, Matsantsantsa are still showing the determination to fight for points.
The men from Pretoria will be looking for a respectable finish and will be aiming to win both their remaining fixtures to finish the season as high as possible and potentially earn a position in the CAF competitions for next season.
The odds are stacked against Chippa United who are without a single point in their last five matches considering that Supersport United have won three and drawn two of their last five.
Here's how they line up:
Chippa: 1. Akpeyi, 7. Mako, 24. Thopola, 13. Chabalala, 17. Mvelase, 41. Masuku, 15. Zuke, 33. Mdaki, 10. Mbenyane, 26. Mbokoma, Mashego.
SuperSport: 30. Williams, 20. Kekana, 27. Booysen, 2. Mashamaite, 3. Ritchie, 18. Morton, 28. Mokoena, 16. Modiba, 7. Masango, 23. Mnyamane, 10. Nkhatha.
