Teams: Cape Town City v Maritzburg United
Date: 5 December 2017
Venue: Princess Magogo Stadium
Cape Town City and Maritzburg United will do battle at the Princess Magogo Stadium in an Absa Premiership on Tuesday evening.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 19h30.
The Citizens have been forced to play home matches elsewhere, following the drought in Cape Town that has made alternative venues unavailable, while the Cape Town Stadium has been reserved for Rugby.
As a result, Benni McCarthy's charges find themselves having to play the Team of Choice in their own backyard in a fixture that is their home game.
However, City will be encouraged by their come-from-behind 2-2 draw with Golden Arrows at the same venue, which extended their unbeaten run in the league to three matches.
The Mother City-based club are lying fourth on log with 17 points from 11 matches.
The Team Choice, however, have been stuttering in the league and need to pick up points before they find themselves in the relegation zone.
The Durban-based outfit have not scored a goal since mid-September in their 1-1 draw with AmaZulu and have consequently not won in their last eight league matches.
Fadlu Davids' troops are lying 12th on the log with 11 points from 10 matches.
Here's how they line up:
City: 1. Walters, 12. Fielies, 27. Gumede, 18. Johannes, 5. Edmilson, 26. Nodada, 23. Matsi, 30. Martin, 24. Masina, 45. Majoro, 10. Patosi.
Maritzburg: 31. Ofori, 3. Sanoka, 25. Xulu, 16. Fransman, 26. Shandu, 15. Maboe, 5. Weidlich, 13. Makaringe, 10. Atouba, 22. Mokate, 29. Mekoa.
