Mamelodi Sundowns will look to extend their lead at the top of the Absa Premiership when they host Cape Town City this evening.
Sundowns have struggled against the Citizens in recent years and will be hoping to rewrite the history books when visit them in Cape Town.
The Mother City club got the better of the Brazilians once again in the first round clash with a 1-0 win at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
Masandawana are still sitting pretty at the top the log with 35 points from 19 games and victory will see them open up a seven-point gap between themselves and the Citizens, who sit in second place.
The Tshwane-based side drew 0-0 with Kaizer Chiefs in their last outing on Saturday night.
Similarly, City also played to a stalemate after being held by Bloemfontein Celtic in a 1-1 draw last weekend.
Benni McCarthy’s charges could trim the lead at the top of the standings to just one point behind the Brazilians if they master-mind yet another victory.
