Absa Premiership
Teams: Cape Town City v Baroka FC
Date: 21 November 2017
Venue: Cape Town Stadium
Cape Town City will host Baroka FC in a top-of-the-table Absa Premiership clash on Tuesday evening at the Cape Town Stadium.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 18h00.
The Citizens will have the chance to unseat Bakgaga at the top of the table for the first time this season.
Benni McCarthy's charges have had a brilliant start to the campaign in all competitions but were undone by their MTN8 Final defeat to SuperSport United in September after which they were in a bad spell of a five-match winless run.
That bad patch evaporated just before the international break when they won 1-0 against Free State Stars and now find themselves contesting for the pole position on the log standings.
Aubrey Ngoma has recovered from his long-term injury and has been named on the bench for tonight's clash.
The Mother City club third on the table with 15 points from nine games and a win over the Limpopo-based side will see them grab the first spot.
Kgoloko Thobejane's troops have also started the league like a house on fire as they are perched at the summit of the log with 17 points from 10 games.
Bakgaga played to a 1-1 draw with AmaZulu in their last match before the international break.
Here's how they line up:
City: 32. Stephens, 2. Mkhize, 12. Fielies, 16. Johannes, 6. Seedat, 19. Putsche, 13. Modise, 23. Matsi, 30. Martin, 7. Lakay, 9. Koapeng.
Baroka: 16. Vries, 6. Shaku, 31. Masenamela, 7. Chawaphiwa, 24. Banda, 21. Moeti, 2. Kgoetyane, 10. Ntshangase, 4. Madubanya, 8. Mdantsane, 17. Ngalande.
