Steve Komphela officially begins his reign at Bloemfontein Celtic with a clash against Chippa United in the Absa Premiership this afternoon.

The Bloemfontein outfit have went on to add eight new players including Ryan de Jongh and Rendani Ndou.

It will also  be a first outing for former Kaizer Coach Khompela who will be eager to improve Celtic's 11th place finish in the 2017/18 season.

Chippa United travel to Bloemfontein with a new man on the sidelines as well, in Dan Malesela who returns after being relieved of his duties by Chippa Mpengesi back in September 2017.

The Chilli Boys have also bolstered their squad with 15 signings, including veterans Daine Klate, Thabo Nthethe and midfielder Jabu Shongwe.

Similarly Chippa finished outside the top eight in 10th position last season and will be looking improve on that.

Both teams have new men at helm and have beefed up their squads in anticipation of the new Absa Premiership season, and will be raring to get off to confidence boosting starts.
