Teams: Bloemfontein Celtic v Baroka FC
Date: 01 March 2020
Venue: Dr Molemela Stadium
Wounded Bloemfontein Celtic will be hungry for points when they host relegation-threatened Baroka FC in the Absa Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
Siwelele booked their spot in the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup after edging Maritzburg United 3-2 last weekend thanks to a stoppage time winner by Harris Tchilimbou.
However, Lehlohonolo Seema’s charges need to get back on track in the league after losing three of their last four matches, the last of which was a 2-1 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns.
Meanwhile, Bakgaga also progressed to the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup after beating ABC Motsepe League side Hungry Lions on penalties.
However, Dylan Kerr’s men have been struggling in the league after losing back-to-back matches against Highlands Park and Bidvest Wits with a 1-0 scoreline.
Bakgaga are languishing in 13th spot on the table, but they are equal on points with the bottom three sides while Phunya Sele Sele are currently lie in 10th spot.
Both sides will hoping to bang in the goals after the reverse fixture at the Peter Mokaba Stadium ended goalless.
