Absa Premiership
Teams: Bidvest Wits v Ajax Cape Town
Date: 06 December 2017
Venue: Bidvest Stadium
Two of the early Absa Premiership strugglers go head-to-head as Bidvest Wits host Ajax Cape Town at Bidvest Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 19h30.
Defending champions Bidvest Wits are coming off the back of Telkom Knockout glory, having beaten Bloemfontein Celtic 1-0 in the final on Saturday.
However, the Clever Boys have been dreadful in the league this season and sit bottom with nine points from 11 games.
Ajax lead Gavin Hunt’s side only on goal difference and the Urban Warriors camp does not look like a happy place at the moment.
During last week’s 1-0 loss to SuperSport United, coach Stanley Menzo was involved in a war of words with his own player, Rheece Evans, after taking him off.
The Urban Warriors were woeful at times last season, including in a 5-0 loss to Wits, but ultimately finished a creditable 10th. If they are to escape the foot of the table once again, now would be a perfect time to start picking up momentum.
Here's how they line up:
Wits: 1. Keet, 3. Hlatshwayo, 6. Scott, 10. Gamal, 12. Pule, 13. Hlanti, 14. Claasen, 15. Mkhwanazi, 17. Mhango, 30. Motshwari, 33. Frosler.
Ajax: 22. February, 3. Pietersen, 5. Lebusa, 7. Mosadi, 8. Margeman, 11. Morris, 13. Nhlapo, 18. Mdabuka, 20. Mzwakali, 25. Kammies, 30. Booysen.
