Teams: Baroka FC v Mamelodi Sundowns
Date: 08 April 2018
Venue: Peter Mokaba Stadium
Mamelodi Sundowns will look to extend their lead at the top of the Absa Premiership when they visit Baroka FC at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 15h00.
Sundowns extended their unbeaten run in the league to seven matches with a 2-0 home win over Chippa United on April 4. The sequence of results has brought the Tshwane side 15 points from a possible 21 and kept them on top of the standings, albeit by a single point over Orlando Pirates, but with a game in hand for the Brazilians.
Baroka also extended their unbeaten run in the league to five matches by playing to a goalless draw away to Platinum Stars on April 4. The sequence of results has brought the Limpopo side seven points from a possible 15, leaving them eighth on the table.
In head-to-head stats, Baroka and Sundowns have met in three league matches since the start of last season. The Brazilians have claimed two wins (with one game ending in a draw), including a 4-0 thrashing they handed Bakgaga in Tshwane back in early December last year.
