Absa Premiership
Teams: Ajax Cape Town v Kaizer Chiefs
Date: 26 September 2015
Venue: Cape Town Stadium
Kaizer Chiefs will be looking for revenge when they travel to Cape Town Stadium to face Ajax Cape Town in an Absa Premiership match on Saturday night.
The match is scheduled to get underway at 20h15.
The teams last met in the MTN8 final a week ago which saw the Urban Warriors run out 1-0 winners thanks to a Nathan Paulse penalty.
In the league, however, the teams are placed neck and neck on the standings with nine points each from five games.
Ajax come into this game off the back of their second defeat of the season when they were beaten 3-2 at Mamelodi Sundowns in midweek.
Chiefs, on the other hand, registered a 1-1 draw against the University of Pretoria.
In head-to-head stats, Ajax and Chiefs have met in 32 league matches since 1999/2000.
The Amakhosi have 14 wins compared to nine for the Urban Warriors, while nine matches have been drawn.
Ajax have won seven of their 16 home matches against Chiefs, suffering four defeats in the process.
Last season the Amakhosi completed a league ‘double’ over the Urban Warriors by winning 1-0 both away and home
