Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies captain Zanele Nhlapo has revealed which player she would advise the club to sign if given the chance.
Nhlapo was part of tune Sundowns Ladies' squad that won the first-ever CAF Women's Champions League title in November last year after defeating Ghana's Hasaacas Ladies 2-0 in the final.
A few weeks after the Champions League triumph, Sundowns were also crowned 2021 Hollywood Bets Super League winners to cap off a memorable 2021 campaign.
Nhlapo came up against some of the best African footballers during their Champions League run, but revealed she would advise Sundowns to sign ASFR's Moroccan midfielder Fatima Tagnaout.
"Fatima Tagnaout from ASFAR," Nhlapo said in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma.
"She has very good technique, can hold the ball well, has lots of dribbling skills and when she gets a chance, she cuts inside and shoots."
When asked about the toughest opponents, the Sundowns skipper added, "Moroccan team ASFAR and Malabo Kings from Equatorial Guinea. We couldn’t score against them."
Nhlapo was also included in the Women's Champions League Squad of the Tournament along with fellow defender Bambanani Mbane and goalkeeper Andile Dlamini.
