With all the talk of Mamelodi Sundowns trimming down their numbers in the squad, an agent has come forward to reveal the latest on the future of one of the Brazilians’ midfielders.
Grant Margeman was officially unveiled by Sundowns early in October after agreeing to join club while still on the books of Ajax Cape Town (now Cape Town Spurs) in the GladAfrica Championship.
However, the Brazilians have made a number of new signings for the new 2020/21 campaign and as a result, it’s been revealed that the club will be cutting down on their numbers, either by sending some players out on loan or completing permanent transfers away.
Margeman is yet to make his official debut for the club, and it is believed that he will not be one of the players who will have to seek game-time elsewhere, as the 22-year-old looks to fight for his place in the team.
Speaking to the Siya crew this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, the midfielder’s representative, Ntobatsi Masegela, the Managing Director of Futbolrs Agency revealed that the player believes that he can break into the star-studded side.
“I haven’t sat down with the management, but the player wants to stay and fight for his place. He believes he can break it in that midfield. Our last conversation with management was that Grant is staying and we believe he can break it in. He just started training with the team on Monday (November 02), he was out on an injury he picked up at a friendly game,” Masegela said.
